Do you share documents with individuals outside of your organization?


You may have used different applications to create documents and files for your own reference. However, you may now be required to share your files electronically by email, over a network, or on the web, so that recipients can view, print, and offer feedback.  You no longer need to worry if your colleagues have the same computer you do or even if they have the same software you used to create the original material. There is an Acrobat Reader for virtually any computer and the Reader software is free.


Using Acrobat Professional, you can convert your document to a pdf file. So you can start with a Word document, a Power-Point document, or a Photoshop document and create a pdf file that others can view even if they don't have the original program. Besides being able to distribute documents universally, the other main feature of Acrobat pdf files is that they retain the layout and aesthetics of the original. Whatever it looks like on your computer, you know that it will also look like that on the other computer.

Acrobat Online Forms - Version 8
Prerequisites: Acrobat Fundamentals or equivalent experience

You can create online Adobe PDF forms that allow users to complete those paper forms online. The forms can contain list and check boxes, radio buttons, text fields, or buttons that execute specific behavior.
